2015 Group of MPs Participating in the Chevening - CPR Parliamentarians' Fellowship Programme

The 2015 Chevening - CPR Parliamentarians Fellowship Programme was held at the King’s College London from November 1 – 7, 2015. 

The objective of this one week programme is to expose the Indian Parliamentarians to the best of UK's higher education and provide  insight and research on priority issues for India. During the visit, the group of parliamentarians also meet the top opinion former and decision makers of the UK in a wide range of fields to exchange ideas, solutions and develop future networks and contacts.

A multi-party group of eight Parliamentarians from India attended this exclusive seven day programme held at the Department of War Studies and the India Institute at King’s College London.

The Parliamentarians got an opportunity to interact with a eminent scholars from the King's College on a wide spectrum of issues such as -  Healthcare in the 21st Century, India and the Global Economy, India-UK Relations and UK's Government's View on South Asia, London as a Portal and the World: Building Smart Cities, among others.

The programme also included a working lunch at the House of Lords with peers and MPs led by Lord Bilimoria as well as an interaction with Rt. Hon. Hugo Swire at the House of Commons.
